SUMTER, S.C. – Anderson women's tennis (4-0) added another win in non-conference play, defeating regional foe USC Sumter (0-1) by a 9-0 score on Saturday afternoon. The win marked AU's tenth victory in their last 12 non-conference matches.
"Our guys fought hard today to beat a top ten JUCO team," AU Head Coach Joey Eskridge said. "They won two crucial three setters to sweep the match 9-0. The girls played strong today against a very competitive team. So proud of how both teams conducted business on the court. We won with class today and dealt with some serious adversity on the court."
AU began the match by sweeping all three doubles matches without dropping a game. After a change in the lineup at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions, AU took care of business on both courts.
Singles brought more of the same for the Trojans. The Black and Gold posted seven 6-0 set victories out of the eight sets that were played, en route to a sweep on all six courts.

The Trojans continue their road swing through the southeast region with trips to North Greenville and Truett McConnell next week. Wednesday's duel with the Crusaders is set for 1:00 p.m. in Tigerville, S.C.
