Frequently Asked Questions
ADA Parking and Entrance
Limited handicap parking is available in the game day lot. Please inform staff that you require a handicap spot when arriving to the stadium by showing/displaying a valid handicap placard. The main gates at Melvin and Dollie Younts Stadium are handicap accessible and there are ramps on both the home and visitor stands to accommodate wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility aids. The Abney Athletic Center, Softball Stadium, Tennis Complex, Track and Field, and Anderson Memorial stadium are all accessible facilities as well.
Admission
Free tickets are available for most Anderson University Athletic events, except for Football and Basketball regular season games and any postseason competitions. Anderson has partnered with Hometown Ticketing to be completely paperless with their ticketing. For more information and to buy tickets click here.
Alcohol
Anderson University is an alcohol-free campus. The possession or use of alcohol on campus, including any athletic event, tailgating, etc. is prohibited. Violators may be required to leave campus or subject to other appropriate actions.
Animals
No Pets are allowed at any Anderson University Athletics events. Only documented and approved service animals are allowed at Anderson University facilities. Please reach out to [email protected] at least 48 hours prior to any game for approval.
Announcements
Public Address Announcements must be cleared through the Athletic Communications office at least 48 hours in advance of the contest. Day-of announcements are reserved for emergency situations only.
ATM
Anderson University strives to be a cashless facility and as such does not have an ATM located near the game day venue. However, if cash is needed, there are several nearby partner banks and locations with accessible ATMs for your convenience. With the required AU ID Card necessary for building access, individuals may use the ATM located on the main level of the Student Center.
Bag Policy
The only bags permitted to enter are the following:
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12.” , or
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
- Small clutch bags (no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”).
An exception to the Clear Bag Policy will be made for medically necessary items following a security screening. Patrons will still be able to carry other items into the stadium such as binoculars, cameras, and smart phones, but their carrying cases will NOT be allowed.
Banners/Flags
Banner and flags on poles are not permitted within Anderson Athletic Venues.
Binoculars
Binoculars are allowed, but their cases are not.
Blankets
Blankets are allowed and are subject to search by event staff during security screening.
Cameras
Cameras are permitted, but not camera bags. All photos taken must be for editorial or personal use ONLY. Any photos taken may not be used for advertising, promotions or other trade purposes without written consent of Anderson Athletics. SELFIE STICKS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
Concessions
Anderson University will provide great concessions options, cash and credit are accepted at concession locations and at select food trucks that are on-site. Patrons are not allowed to bring outside food or beverages into the stadium, with the exception of one sealed plastic water bottle per person.
Drones
Drones are prohibited by the SAC and Anderson University Rules at most times. Special requests should be made through the Athletic Communications office if you would like to use a Drone on a game day by contacting Michael Sanders ([email protected]).
Emergencies
Emergency protocol will be announced prior to kick off for each event. In case of an emergency, the public address announcer will guide fans through procedures to ensure safety. Anderson Athletics works in conjunction with Anderson University Police and Emergency Preparedness for all emergency related situations.
First Aid
First Aid locations are set-up just outside of the fan concourse on the home side of the stadium. If you experience a medical emergency, please dial 911 and alert an Anderson University event staff member to coordinate the necessary care.
Lost and Found
Report lost or missing items to the Anderson University Campus Police Department.
Metal Detectors
Walk through metal detectors are at all entrances. Fans who either have a relevant medical condition or do not feel comfortable walking through the metal detectors can notify event staff and participate in an alternative screening process. Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: artificial noisemakers, backpacks, non-clear bags or purses, banners/flags/flag poles, coolers, outside food or beverage, umbrellas, knives or weapons of any kind.
Merchandise
AU Outfitters will be on site at every Anderson Football home game selling the latest and greatest in official AU Trojans apparel. Occasionally other entities will have special commemorative merchandise available for purchase as well.
Mobile Tickets
Anderson University has partnered with Hometown Ticketing to provide all patrons with mobile tickets for scanning at the gates. Fans who prefer printed tickets must do so before arriving on site. For those without tickets, multiple QR codes will be available to scan in the parking lot and at the stadium entrance to purchase tickets online. After purchase, the ticket will be delivered to your phone via text or email for scanning at the gates.
Prohibited Items
Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: artificial noisemakers, backpacks, non-clear bags or purses, banners/flags/flag poles, coolers, outside food or beverage, umbrellas, knives or weapons of any kind. No camping chairs are allowed. Also metal and refillable water bottles (Stanley, Owala, Hydroflask/Corcicle types) are prohibited. One (1) sealed water bottle per person will be allowed.
Re-Entry
Fans who exit the stadium and wish to return during the same game will receive a hand stamp as proof of ticket purchase. Upon re-entering the stadium, all fans must pass through the metal detector screening.

Tobacco
Anderson University is a tobacco-free campus. All tobacco products, including smokeless electronic cigarettes, cannot be consumed on university property.
Additionally, Anderson University seeks to be a good neighbor, therefore use of tobacco and related products is also prohibited on private properties and public areas adjacent to the campus. Non-compliance with this policy may result in disciplinary actions.
Wheelchair & Companion Seating
Melvin and Dollie Younts Stadium's main gates are accessible for individuals with disabilities, with ramps provided on both the home and visitor stands for wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility aids. Multiple designated seating areas for wheelchairs are available at the front of the home side stands.
