ROCK HILL, SC -- Sophomore setter Ellie Nieporte has been named the South Atlantic Conference Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for her performance the week of October 14th. The Trojans kept their win streak alive with three wins last week over Newberry, Emmanuel and Coker. Nieporte was crucial in the wins, setting all but a couple of rotations.

Nieporte had 134 assists on the week, with a big performance in the five-set win against Emmanuel with just one short of her career-high with 60 assists. She averaged 11.17 assists per set on the week and leads the SAC in the category, averaging 10.27 so far this season.

She tacked on five blocks, five kills and 28 digs.

Nieporte and the rest of the volleyball team will look to keep the wins coming tomorrow, Oct. 22nd when they host Catawba College at 7 p.m.
