NEW ORLEANS, La. – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced their 2026 NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field All-Region Honorees on Wednesday, with nine Trojans receiving the distinction.
For the men's team, the junior decathlete
David Brown (Menomonie, Wis.) earned the distinction along with the SAC Freshman of the Year,
Avery Butler (Seneca, S.C.) who earned All-Region honors for his performance in the men's heptathlon. He is joined by freshman pole vaulter
Ryan Lee (Honea Path, S.C.), senior
Spain Vaughan in the 5k and junior
Angel Galan (Santa Marta de Tormes, Spain) in the 3000m Steeple.
In the men's decathlon, Brown finished third in the Southeast region with 5947 points at the Electric City Invitational while
Avery Butler tossed an incredible 15.31m program record at the Lee University Fast Break Athletics Invitational to place fourth in the region. In the men's pole vault, Lee cleared the 4.87m bar at Lee to break another program record and round out the season seated first in the regional standings. Vaughan sits sixth in the men's 5k with a time of 14:19.07 while Galan finished third in the men's 3000m steeple with a time of 9:00.57.
On the women's side, pole vaulters
Rylie Jenkins (Loranger, La.) and
Avery Marshall (York, S.C.) earned the distinction while also being joined by junior long jumper
Maggie Long (Mt. Pleasant, S.C.) and distance runner
Kennedy Roush (Greer, S.C.)
Jenkins and Marshall finished first and second overall after recording a mark of 3.65m and 3.55m respectively at the Electric City Invitational. Long posted a mark of 5.76m in the women's long jump to round out the season fifth in the region. Rounding out the honorees from Anderson was Roush with a top 5 time in both the 5000m and 10000m. The Greer native finished fifth in the region with a 5k time of 16:53.48 at the Raleigh Relays while leading the Southeast in the 10k after posting a time of 34:24.92 at the Bryan Clay Invitational, punching a ticket to the NCAA Div. II National Championships.
