LENOIR CITY, Tenn.--The Trojans traveled to the Volunteer State to round out the regular season at Lincoln Memorial's Tennessee River Rumble this week and finished 11th in the field of 18 teams, shooting 297-292-309—898(+34) as a team.
"Tough week for us," said Head Coach Daniel Coker. "We will have a few weeks off to prepare for the SAC Championship in April then get back to work."
The Black and Gold improved five strokes from a +9 opening round to shoot +4 in Round 2, but fell short on the final 18 holes, finishing +21 on Day 2.
Caden Olsommer (Anderson, S.C.) led the Trojans with a 29th-place finish, shooting 72-70 on the first day of play. The tournament marks the third Top-30 finish of the freshman's inaugural college season.
Sam McMillan (Mount Pleasant, S.C.) shot a hole-in-one on Hole 7 in the first round, just his third hole of the tournament.
AU will regroup and look ahead to the SAC Championships on April 19-21 at The Preserve at Verdae in Greenville, S.C.
