LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association announced their academic awards on Tuesday, naming the Trojans an All-Academic Team and senior Chase Robertson (Roanoke, Va.) a Scholar All-American.
Anderson earned the team distinction for holding a collective grade point average of at least a 3.0 for the year as a team.
To be named a Scholar All-American, an athlete must be nominated by their coach, an academic senior and hold a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Per the USILA, the athlete must "have behaved in a manner that has brought credit to himself, his institution, and to college lacrosse both on and off the field." The nominee must also be a highly competitive player and contributor to the team. Students are selected on a case-by-case basis.
