Mitchell Releases 2026 Schedule

ANDERSON, S.C.--Anderson Men's Lacrosse Head Coach Albert Mitchell has announced his team's schedule for Year 6, a lineup that includes six non-conference opponents and nine league matchups, eight home games and seven road contests.

"We're excited for the 2026 slate that we've put together," said Mitchell. "Our out-of-conference schedule is very challenging with many teams in the Top-20 and other teams on the rise."

The season opens with four non-conference games, two at home—North Greenville and Lander—and two on the road—Embry-Riddle and Montevallo.

AU look to end NGU's win-streak in the rivalry series between the Trojans and Trailblazers, after dropping the last two meetings between the sides by just two goals. The contest will kickoff the season on Feb. 7 at home at noon.

The following Saturday, Anderson will travel to face Embry-Riddle on the campus of Jacksonville University. The Black and Gold are 4-0 all-time versus the Eagles.

Anderson will return home to host Lander on Feb. 25, the winner of which will claim the upper hand in the series between the Trojans and Bearcats, as it currently sits level at 2-2. The game is scheduled for 7 PM.

To round out February, AU will travel to Alabama to face Montevallo on Feb. 28 for just the second time. The Trojans hosted the Falcons in their inaugural year, earning a 14-13 overtime win in 2021.

"Our conference schedule is grueling as always," added Mitchell, "but we look forward to the test. The SAC proves every year to be one of the best conferences in the country, and I expect nothing less this year."

South Atlantic Conference play begins on March 4 with the Trojans traveling to Mars Hill. AU will then round out non-con games hosting Tampa on March 7 (noon) and traveling to Emmanuel on March 12. The games will mark the inaugural meetings between both the Trojans and the Spartans, and the Trojans and the Lions.

AU hosts Wingate on March 18 (7 PM) and Tusculum (7 PM) on March 24 and makes trips to Coker on March 21 and Catawba on March 28.

Anderson then hosts the Wolves of Newberry on April 1 at 7 PM, before welcoming the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters on April 4 at noon. For the final road test, the Trojans will travel to Lenoir-Rhyne on April 11. Emory & Henry will be the final test of the regular season, with the Black and Gold hosting the Wasps on April 18 for Senior Day.
