CLEVELAND, Tenn. -- Senior Trojan Spain Vaughan (Greer, S.C.)'s 10k race highlighted Anderson's quick trip to Tennessee this weekend, as his 29:54 mark is a personal best and school record, as well as a national provisional mark for NCAA DII. Vaughan finished 3rd of 46 athletes and as the top collegiate competitor. This race is now his second provisional time this season, after he boasted a 14:10 5k race just two weeks ago.
Also competing at the Lee Fast Break Invitational this weekend was junior Joey Tindale (Rock Hill, S.C.) who just nearly missed the provisional marks in both of his races at the meet. Tindale finished 3rd of 65 athletes in the 800m race, running a personal best time of 1:51.61. He also competed in the 1500m, finishing in 3:49.71 for a 10th-place finish of 65 athletes. This year's provisional times for the events are 1:51.02 and 3:48.16 respectively.
On the women's side, sophomore Kennedy Roush (Greenville, S.C.) finished 21st of 58 athletes in the 5k, running a 17:38, while freshman Elizabeth Ludwick (Roebuck, S.C.) finished 8 of 19 in the women's 10k with a time of 36:51.
