ANDERSON, S.C. -- Anderson University's Track & Field teams enter outdoor season this week, a slate of six regular season meets including the Electric City Invitational on home turf, before the South Atlantic Conference Outdoor Championships at the end of April.
The Black and Gold will open the campaign making the short trip to Charlotte for the 49er Classic on March 21-22. The Trojans will then split up the following weekend, with athletes competing at NC State's Raleigh Relays and Southern Wesleyan's Gotta Run Invite to close out the month.
April begins with Anderson's home meet (April 4-5), before the Lee Fast Break Invitational (April 11-12) and the App State Open (April 28-29). The SAC Championships will again be hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne, spanning April 30-May 1 in Hickory, N.C.
Following SAC competition, there is potential for the Trojans to travel back to Lee University for the Last Chance Meet to make final preparations for the NCAA National Championships in Colorado from May 22-24.
