FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA. – Anderson University women's soccer (2-0) secured its second straight victory defeating nonconference opponent Emmanuel (Ga.)(0-2), 2-0, on Saturday in Franklin Springs Ga.
"We generated a lot of attack in the first half and were able to put away two goals early," said head coach
Sarah Jacobs. "Our defense also had a strong performance to secure a shutout."
"It has been exciting to see the progress the team has made and I look forward to testing ourselves again next week!," added Jacobs.

Catherine Nardella scored her second goal of the season taking a pass from junior
Kylie Swanson in the 15
th minute of the contest. The Trojans struck again in the 35
th minute on a goal by sophomore
Whitley Anderson, assisted by freshman
Ashton Douty. Anderson's goal was her first career goal as a Trojan.
The Black and Gold took 16 shots with six on frame while the Lions recorded five shots with three coming on goal.
Sophomore keeper
Arriel Frey earned her first shut-out victory while being credited with three saves on the day.
Anderson returns to its home pitch on Wednesday to square off with nonconference opponent Converse. Kick-off is slated for 5 pm.
