CLEVELAND, GA. – The Anderson women's tennis team (3-0) continued their perfect start to the season with a 7-0 sweep of Truett McConnell (0-1) at the TMU Tennis Complex on Friday morning. With the win, AU Head Coach Joey Eskridge reached 400 total victories as head coach of the men's and women's tennis programs at Anderson.

The Trojans started the morning off the right way, taking the doubles point with a pair of 6-0 wins. Gigi Sompayrac and Elena Ronconi blanked their opponents at No. 1, while Valentina Borda and Ensley Collins clinched the point at the No. 3 spot. Alexandria Braithwaite and Mara Opre completed the sweep with a 6-2 win at No. 2.

AU didn't look back in singles, winning at all six positions. Braithwaite and Ronconi notched dominant 6-0, 6-0 wins, while Borda, Opre, Sompayrac, and Collins dropped only one game each.
