Trojan Volleyball Sweeps Queens

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Using a balanced attack, the Anderson volleyball team snapped a four-match losing skid with a convincing 3-0 (25-13, 25-11, 25-17) win past Queens in Conference Carolinas volleyball action Saturday afternoon at the Ovens Athletics Center. "We really played well today," said Anderson head coach Craig Mosqueta. "Our ball-handling was very good for the second day in a row." Anderson (7-6, 2-2 Conference Carolinas) was led by junior Jamie Lancaster's 12 kills, while freshman Shelby Netherton continued her strong play with six kills. Junior setter Lindsay Doggett handed out a match-high 26 assists and added 10 digs with sophomore Katie Rich recording 11 digs on the afternoon. Anderson gets back on the court Friday, Sept. 25, when the Trojans play host to Coker College. First-serve is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the Abney Athletic Center.
