ROCK HILL, S.C.--The South Atlantic Conference announced weekly honors on Monday, naming Trojan Mathis Collignon (Les Pavillons Sous Bois, France) the SAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week.
Collignon earned the award after leading AU to a 2-0 week in SAC play, winning at the No. 1 doubles and singles position in both matches.
The Trojans defeated Newberry 4-1 on Wednesday, with Collignon winning 6-3 in doubles play alongside Wynn Shioi (Las Vegas, Nev.), before winning straight sets in singles play.
On Friday, AU hosted UVA Wise for Senior Day and picked up a 4-0 sweep over the Cavaliers. Collignon and Shioi again won at the No. 1 Court, along with another straight-set win in singles.
