ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Sophomore
Megan Muir (Bedford, N.H.) has earned the South Atlantic Conference Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week award for her performance in the regular season the week of April 20.
Muir led the Trojans on offense and defense to a 15-12 win over UVA Wise last Wednesday that secured their No. 3 seed in the SAC Championships.
Muir tied her career-high with eight draw controls, a statistical category that she currently ranks second in in the SAC. She added two ground balls and one caused turnover. On offense, Muir had a team-high five points with three goals and two assists. She was 2-2 from free position.
The Trojans are back in action on Wednesday, April 29 when they head to Lenoir-Rhyne for the SAC Semifinals at 4 p.m.
