SPARKS, Md. -- Sophomore
Megan Muir (Bedford, N.H.) continues to rack up the postseason accolades as she was named to the USA Lacrosse Magazine Honorable Mention All-American Team as well as the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association First Team All-Region.
Muir was named the South Atlantic Conference Midfielder of the Year while also earning a spot on the All-Conference First Team. It was her second straight year earning a major postseason award from the conference.
She finished the season with 92 draw controls, the second-most in the SAC. She picked up 50 ground balls and forced 35 caused turnovers, ranking in the top six in the SAC in both categories. She added 40 goals and 17 assists for 57 points for an outstanding offensive performance as well.
This is Muir's second year earning IWLCA All-Region honors and her first All-American award.
