SUMTER, S.C. -- Anderson Men's Tennis made the trip to Sumter this weekend for the 2025 ITA Southeast Regional Tournament. Competing for the Trojans were doubles pairs Mathis Collignon/Sky Thavornchaisophon and Spencer Dorosheff/Dandapoojith Reddy. Collignon and Dorosheff also competed in singles competition.
On opening day, Collignon and Thavornchaisophon earned a tiebreak win to advance to the Round of 16, and Dorosheff forced his LR opponent to three sets, taking the victory into Day 2.
Catawba bested AU in doubles and singles play, knocking out pairing Dorosheff/Reddy and individual Collignon.
On Day 2, Dorosheff won the opening set against his Francis Marion opponent, before dropping straight sets. Collignon/Thavornchaisophon came up just short against Columbus State, falling 6-8.
Anderson will return to team competition next Saturday (Oct. 4), traveling to Emmanuel.
