MISENHEIMER, N.C. — Anderson defeated Pfeiffer 7-0 on Friday. The Trojans earned the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 before sweeping all six singles matches.
AU earned the doubles point with victories at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. S. Thavornchaisophon and
Wynn Shioi defeated Valter Albuquerque and Hugo Kezen 7-6 at No. 1, and Vincent Fenollar and Mihailo Nikic beat K. Baldoni and Aissultan Mukhambeto 6-4 at No. 2. The Falcons took No. 3 doubles, where Aden Burgoyne and Ruben Bogomoltz defeated
Dandapoojith Reddy and
Alex Lozano 6-3.
The Trojans carried the 1-0 lead into singles and won all six courts in straight sets. Fenollar defeated Albuquerque 7-6, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, Nikic beat Mukhambeto 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 and Shioi defeated Baldoni 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3.
AU also added wins from Thavornchaisophon, who defeated Kezen 6-4, 6-0 at No. 4 singles, Reddy, who beat Burgoyne 6-0, 6-2 at No. 5, and Lozano, who defeated Bogomoltz 6-0, 6-3 at No. 6 to complete the Trojans' 7-0 dual victory.
