Trojans Climb to Seventh in NCAA Regional Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) released the DII Women's Soccer Regional Rankings on Wednesday, tabbing Anderson seventh in the Southeast Region for games through Nov. 9.
 
Five South Atlantic Conference programs are among the top 10 including: Wingate (9), Coker (8), Anderson (7), Lenoir-Rhyne (5) and Catawba (2).
 
The Trojans entered postseason play 9-4-2 overall and 6-3-1 in conference play after defeating Newberry in a 3-1 victory on the road.
 
Anderson recently hosted sixth-seeded Carson-Newman for a SAC quarterfinal matchup on Saturday. The Trojans defeated the Eagles in a 2-0 shutout victory to advance to the semifinal round.
 
The Black and Gold returns to the SAC Semifinals to face-off with No. 7 Wingate, hosted by Sportsplex at Matthews (Matthews, N.C.) on Friday, Nov. 14.
