ANDERSON, S.C.– The Anderson University women's soccer program has added nine student-athletes for the upcoming 2024 season, announced on Tuesday by Trojans head coach Sarah Jacobs.
The Black and Gold welcome: Ansley Douty (Charleston, S.C./Wando High School), Ashton Douty (Charleston, S.C./Wando High School), Kierann Fisher (Concord, N.C./Cox Mill High School),Ella Glenn (Simpsonville, S.C./Mauldin High School), Gabriela Gonzalez (Antioch, Cali./Heritage Baptist Academy),Ellie Ketzner (Magnolia, Texas/Magnolia High School), Lauren Monday (Anderson, S.C./Christ Church Episcopal), Ashlyn Schaefer (Milford, Ohio./Milford High School), and Zoe Stevenson (Bluffton, S.C./May River High School) to the team for the upcoming 2024 campaign.
Jacobs on 2024 Class: "We look forward to welcoming this new group into the AUWS Family. I have enjoyed getting to know each of them throughout the recruiting process and believe they have a lot to offer as both players and people.This class brings talent and depth to our squad along with a passion for the game, each other, and Anderson University. We are eager for them to arrive on campus and begin their careers as Trojans. We hope their time here results in personal growth, academic excellence, and conference championships."
The Trojans are slated to open its 2024 season on its home pitch September 5th versus USC Aiken. Kick-off is scheduled for 5 pm at Spero Financial Field.

Why Anderson: "I chose Anderson because of the perfect balance between a really good soccer team and academics. I really love the faith based atmosphere on the team and throughout campus. When I went to the ID camp at AU it stood out compared to all the other camps I had gone to, due to the fact all the girls were super outgoing, kind and they made me feel like I was home and a part of the team before I even got offered. I wanted to become a part of that family."
