SALISBURY, N.C. – Anderson University women's soccer (5-2-1) fell to No. 8 Catawba (7-0-2) in a hard-fought battle on the road Saturday afternoon.

Sarah Jacobs. "We competed with a talented opponent and left everything on the field. We'll use this as fuel to keep us going."
The Trojans defended their pitch, holding nationally-ranked Catawba Indians scoreless in the first half of the match. The Black and Gold lead with three shots-two coming on goal-in the first half. Catawba entered the second half strong, and the Trojans failed to respond to an early goal by Junior Bree Ehmer.

Aliyah Morgan lead the match for Anderson in saves, tallying four compared to Catawba's three.
The Black and Gold return home on Saturday Oct. 11 when they host Wingate for another conference matchup.
