ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University men's tennis team recovered from the early doubles set-back to beat nonconference opponent Limestone; 6-3 on Saturday afternoon at the AU Tennis Complex.

With their seventh straight victory, the Trojans move to 11-2 overall and while Limestone falls to 1-4 overall.

In the doubles portion, Anderson's lone win came at the No. 2 position with Ignacio Bidegain and Fabricio Lanza (AU) defeating Guillermo Ortega and Pierluigi Neri (LC), 8-5. Limestone's Federico Garnier and Stefano Soares (LC) narrowly defeated Nicolas Ascarrunz and Jeffrey Dayton (AU) 9-8 (5) while Luka Stanec and Giacomo Campus (LC) held off Juan Carracedo and Jerry Price (AU) 9-8 (6) to take the early 2-1 advantage.

In singles action, AU's Preston Morpeth evened the match by defeating Enrique Moreno, 6-1, 6-2. Dayton and Carracedo each put away their opponent with Ascarrunz clinching the match defeating Soares, 6-2,6-2. Setting the final score and winning at the No. 5 slot was Lanza winning over Stanec, 6-3, 6-2.

The Trojans remain home to host SAC powerhouse Wingate on Tuesday. First serve is slated for 2 p.m. at the AU Tennis Complex.
