ANDERSON, S.C. - With Krystof Gulbinovic, Paul Calhoun and Inaki Iriberry each collecting two wins, the Anderson men's tennis team outpaced Erskine, 6-3, in nonconference action in the Trojans' regular-season finale Monday afternoon at the Max Grubbs Memorial Courts.

Anderson improved to 10-5 with its fifth consecutive win, while Erskine fell to 8-13.

The Trojans garnered an early 2-1 lead after the doubles' competition, as Gulbinovic and Calhoun won their fifth consecutive match and improved to 8-2 in their last 10 matches by defeating Dean Harris and Alan Pearce, 8-5, at the No. two doubles' flight. Iriberry and Daniel Gonzalez teamed up for an 8-3 win past Matthew Twitty and Robert Clarke at No. three doubles. The victory marked the duo's fifth straight win as they improved to 7-1 in their last eight matches.

Erskine claimed the first two singles' points, but the Trojans earned the final four to claim the team victory. Gulbinovic rallied to hold off Harris, 2-6, 6-1, 6-4, at the No. three singles' flight for his second win of the afternoon, while Loic Ambroise defeated Pearce, 6-0, 6-4, at No. four singles.

Calhoun notched his second win of the day by blanking Clarke, 6-0, 6-0, at the No. five slot and Iriberry won his 12th straight match with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Twitty.

With the win, the Trojans regained possession of the Beville Cup for the fifth time in the past seven years and combined with the sweep by the softball team, AU earned the final two points of the competition and finished with a 9.25-6.25 advantage in the battle for possession of the trophy.

Last season, for just the second time in six years and the first since 2009, Erskine claimed possession of the Cup by a narrow 9.5 to 9.0 margin.

Anderson enters this week's South Atlantic Conference Tournament as the top seed and will face the winner of the Lincoln Memorial/Newberry matchup on Thursday in Rock Hill, S.C. First-serve is scheduled for 9 a.m. at the Rock Hill Tennis Center.
