ANDERSON, S.C. - With a trio of players notching two wins apiece on the afternoon, the Anderson men's tennis team rebounded from Tuesday's setback to Augusta State by defeating Catawba, 7-2, in South Atlantic Conference action Wednesday afternoon at the Max Grubbs Memorial Courts.

Anderson (6-5, 6-1 SAC) snapped a two-match skid with the victory, while Catawba fell to 11-7 overall and 2-3 in conference play with its third setback in the last four outings.

The Trojans swept doubles action to enter singles' play with a 3-0 advantage and went on to win four of six singles' matchups to garner the team victory.

Sophomore Abdoulaye Camara notched his second win of the afternoon by defeating Catawba's Jess Goodall, 6-4, 6-4, at the No. 2 flight, while AU's Krystof Gulbinovic downed Matthew Nicholson, 6-1, 6-4, at the No. 3 slot for his second win of the day.

Senior Loic Ambroise won his fourth consecutive matchup by holding off Mitchell McDonald, 6-0, 7-6, at the No. 4 flight, and freshman Inaki Iriberry earned his eighth consecutive singles' match of the season with a straight-set, 6-0, 6-1, win past Aaron Vanhorenbeck at No. 6 singles.

Anderson will get back on the courts on Friday, when the Trojans visit league-opponent Brevard. First-serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
