Two outs later, first baseman Erick Sanderson belted his third home run of the season to give the AU pitching staff more support than they needed on the afternoon.

AU senior right-hander Kaleb Davis tossed five innings of scoreless two-hit baseball to earn his second win of the season, while Riley McDermott and Justin Rogers combined for four innings in relief.

Padro and senior Ryan Saxon each tallied a pair of singles on the afternoon, while Sanderson drove in three runs,

Anderson opens South Atlantic Conference action this Friday when Brevard invades Anderson Memorial Stadium for a three-game series. The Trojans and Tornados square off in a single game slated for 6 p.m. Friday night, then wrap up the set with a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
