ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson University head baseball coach PJ Zocchi has announced the hiring of Cliff Allred as the program's Assistant Baseball Coach and Recruiting Coordinator.

Allred joins the Trojan coaching staff after spending the past year as a sales representative for WIN Reality, one of the nation's leading baseball technology companies. Prior to entering the private sector, he spent more than 15 years coaching at the NCAA level, building a reputation as a successful recruiter and developer of hitters, catchers and infielders.

Before joining WIN Reality, Allred spent three seasons as an assistant coach at North Carolina A&T State University, where he worked primarily with the Aggies' hitters and catchers. During his tenure, he helped develop the offensive approach of the program while contributing to recruiting efforts and the day-to-day operations of the team.

Allred also served as an assistant coach at UNC Pembroke from 2020-23 after serving as the recruiting coordinator and hitting coach at St. Andrews University from 2016-20. Throughout his collegiate coaching career, he has been instrumental in recruiting student-athletes from across the country while developing individualized performance plans designed to maximize player growth.

In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Allred spent three years as an instructor at Greensboro Batting Center, where he worked with players of varying ages and skill levels to improve offensive fundamentals and overall baseball development.

Allred officially joined the Anderson University coaching staff in July and is already assisting with recruiting and preparations for the upcoming season.
