ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Anderson men's tennis team snapped a three-match skid by blanking visiting Coker, 9-0, while the Trojan women's team defeated the Cobras, 7-2, in Conference Carolinas' action Saturday afternoon at the Max Grubbs Tennis Courts. The men's team improved to 8-5 overall and stayed perfect in league action at 5-0, and the women's squad moved to 8-6 overall and 5-2 in conference play. The Trojan men cruised to their seventh consecutive home win, sweeping the doubles' points and not surrendering a set. Freshman John Karle continued his stellar rookie campaign by staying undefeated and winning his 13th consecutive match, with Stephane Murray moving to 9-1 on the season. Anderson's women's team dropped a decision at No. 1 doubles and at No. 1 singles, but claimed its fourth win in the last five matches as Camie Beaulieu Brunet won her fifth consecutive singles' match and teammate Julie Halbert improved to a sparkling 10-3 on the season.
