ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson University Men's Cross Country sophomore Grayson Gibbons (Simpsonville, S.C.) and Women's Cross Country senior Kennedy Roush (Greer, S.C.).
 
Each week, student-athletes are honored for his or her performance in competition, classroom or community, being named the Jimmy John's Athlete of the Week.
 
Gibbons won the Southeast Regional Preview meet Saturday morning. His 15 second personal best time of 24:44 for the 8,000m placed first overall out of 190 finishers. The meet included the defending national champions and fellow conference opponent No. 1 Wingate. Gibbon's was also named the South Atlantic Conference Runner of the Week for his performance in the season opener.
 
Roush finished runner-up at the Southeast Regional Preview Saturday morning. She was the top Division II finisher in the race which included the No. 1 and No. 2 ranked teams in the region. Alongside Gibbons, Roush also earned South Atlantic Conference Runner of the Week distinction for her performance on the week.
