ROCK HILL, S.C. – Anderson University Cross Country sophomore Grayson Gibbons (Simpsonville, S.C.) and senior Kennedy Roush (Greer, S.C.) have been named the South Atlantic Conference Runners of the Week for their respective teams after their season-opening performances the week of Sept. 14.
 
Gibbons has earned SAC Male Runner of the Week honors after opening the 2026 campaign in dominant fashion, clocking a career-best 8k (24:44.3) to win the individual title among 190 runners. His finish led the Trojans to a second-place team finish at the Converse Kick-Off, hosted by Converse University, Saturday morning.
 
Roush boasted and excellent start to the 2026 campaign with a 6k time of 21:53.7 to earn a second place finish out of 101 runners in the field Saturday. Her time propelled the Trojans forward to secure a fifth-place team finish.
 
The Black and Gold will return to competition after a two-week break when they travel to Romeoville, Ill. on Saturday Oct. 10 to compete in the Lewis Crossover hosted by Lewis University.
