Bobby Beville | Baseball & Administration (1974–2007)

A transformative figure in Anderson University athletic history, Bobby Beville dedicated more than three decades to Trojan Athletics as a player, championship head coach, and Director of Athletics. A native of Gate City, Virginia, Beville played baseball at Anderson when it was a two-year institution before completing his collegiate career and degree.

Over 13 seasons as Anderson's head baseball coach, Beville amassed an impressive 402-213 career record, highlighted by leading the Trojans to the 1994 NCCAA National Championship, where he was named the 1994 National Coach of the Year alongside four District Coach of the Year honors.

Assuming the role of Director of Athletics in 1996, Beville oversaw the most pivotal transition in school history, guiding Trojan Athletics from the NCCAA to the NAIA, and ultimately achieving full NCAA Division II membership in September 1999. Under his 10-year leadership as AD, AU joined the Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference (CVAC), captured three Messick Sportsmanship Awards, modernized athletic facilities across campus (including major upgrades to the Abney Athletic Center and soccer complex), hosted an NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Regional Tournament, and crowned the program's first individual NCAA national champion.

Chandler Hash | Men's Basketball (2011–2014)

Greer, South Carolina native Chandler Hash stands as one of the most prolific scorers and pure shooters in Anderson University and South Atlantic Conference history. In just three seasons with the Black and Gold, Hash amassed 1,537 career points, ranking fourth on the program's all-time four-year scoring list.
Hash delivered arguably the greatest single season in Trojan men's basketball history during the 2013–14 campaign, setting AU all-time single-season records for:
  • Points: 778
  • Scoring Average: 24.3 PPG (ranking 5th in NCAA Division II)
  • Field Goals Made: 213
  • 3-Point Field Goals Made: 124 (309 attempts)
  • Free Throws Made: 228
  • Minutes Played: 1,156
Known for remarkable poise at the line and perimeter, Hash holds the school single-game free-throw percentage benchmark with five separate games of perfect shooting with 10+ attempts (including a 14-for-14 performance vs. Wingate in 2013 and 12-for-12 vs. Queens in 2014), as well as a single-game 3-point percentage record of 85.7% (6-of-7 vs. Catawba). He helped lead Anderson to an NCAA Division II Tournament appearance in 2014 and finished his collegiate career selected to the prestigious Reese's Division II College All-Star Game.

Jonathan "JJ" Jackson | Wrestling (2008–2011)

A native of Lake City, South Carolina, Jonathan "JJ" Jackson reached the pinnacle of collegiate wrestling by capturing the 2010 NCAA Division II National Championship at 157 pounds.
Jackson made history in Omaha, Nebraska, marching through a 16-man national bracket with four consecutive victories—capped by a dramatic 3-1 victory over George Ivanov of Nebraska-Omaha in the championship final. He became only the second individual national champion in Anderson University history and secured NCAA All-American status. Jackson was a two-time NCAA National Qualifier (2009, 2010) and an NCAA East Region finalist.

Alexy Mollenhauer | Women's Basketball (2016–2020)

Alexy Mollenhauer authored one of the most decorated careers in the history of Anderson University and the South Atlantic Conference. A two-time SAC Player of the Year (2019, 2020) and SAC Female Athlete of the Year, Mollenhauer was a dominant force from her freshman season, when she captured 2017 SAC Freshman of the Year honors.
