WESTLAKE, Ohio - Anderson University Softball senior Carson Hobbs (Nicholson, Ga.), has been named to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-American First Team DP as announced by the organization Wednesday afternoon.
 
The Nicholson native recorded an incredible final season wearing Black and Gold. At bat, the senior designated player boasted a .421 batting average with a nation-leading 28 doubles, two triples, seven homers and 70 RBI while also recording a 3.57 ERA with 83 strikeouts in 125.1 innings pitched. During the season, she led all three NCAA Divisions with 20 doubles while guiding the Trojans to a historical 20-1 home record on the season while the Black and Gold posted a 38-15 overall record.
 
During the 2026 campaign, Hobbs garnered multiple honors for her performances, including South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week, First Team NFCA All-Region, D2CCA First Team All-Region, First Team All-Conference and All-Tournament Team recognition.
 
"Being named First Team All-American is an incredible honor, and no one deserves it more than Carson Hobbs." said head coach Kelly Roberts. "Carson was the heart and soul of Anderson Softball this season, leading with passion, toughness, and an unmatched work ethic every single day. She left everything on the field in her senior season, and I could not be prouder of the player, teammate, and person she has become."
