ROCK HILL, S.C. – Anderson University softball seniors
Carson Hobbs (Nicholson, Ga.) and
Kinsley Dunn (Central, S.C.) have been named to the South Atlantic Conference Championships All-Tournament Team as announced by the organization on Tuesday.
Hobbs had an incredible performance throughout the tournament. The Nicholson native went 7-for-24 at bat with five runs added to the Trojans tally while recording five RBI, two doubles and one homer to push the Trojans forward. In the circle, Hobbs posted a 4.14 ERA during the tournament, allowing no runs for a perfect 0.00 ERA against Lenoir-Rhyne and Carson-Newman.
Dunn had an outstanding performance during the championship tournament. The Central Native went 7-for-17 at bat with four runs and four RBI while notching a single double and her first homer of the season. In the field, she recorded six putouts and 14 assists at second base.
The Trojans will begin the NCAA Southeast Region Tournament when they play Lenoir-Rhyne in Florence, S.C. on Thursday, May 14. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m.
