Trojans Tabbed for 6th in Southeast Region

NEW ORLEANS, LA. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released the women's indoor track & field rankings for week one on Tuesday, placing Anderson sixth in the Southeast Region.

"We understand that it is super early in the season and current rankings don't necessarily mean anything when it comes to the end of the year." said Director of Cross Country Track & Field Kevin Eagle.  "However, it does show that we are in a great spot compared to other teams within the region at this moment. We will continue to build toward peaking at the end of February/early March when everything truly matters."

The Region's Top-5 is comprised of four fellow South Atlantic Conference opponents with Wingate leading the poll at No. 1. The No. 2 spot was given to Mount Olive with Tuculum coming in at No. 3. The 4 th and 5 th spots were given to Catawba and Carson-Newman respectively.

The Black & Gold started the 2025-26 campaign with three incredible performances at the Clemson Opener, Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener hosted by Boston University, Tryon Winter Classic and the Orange & Purple Invitational hosted by Clemson University. The history books have been re-written as the Trojans have notched three SAC Athlete of the Week honors while also adding a program record and National qualifying mark,

Anderson returns from the break when they travel to Winston-Salem, N.C. to compete in the Camel City Sprints/Camel City Distance meet hosted by JDL Fast Track on Friday, Feb. 6 and Saturday, Feb. 7.
