ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Trojans closed their four-game homestand with a 67-57 win over Catawba College (6-8, 4-5 SAC) in a back-and-forth battle. Anderson moves to 7-8 overall and 3-6 in the SAC after their second-straight win.
"Couldn't be prouder of how hard we finished the 4th quarter tonight," head coach
Jonathon Barbaree said. "This week, we talked about finishing strong moving forward both with the season and in the game itself. It was great to see us accomplish that goal. Several players stepped up with steals and stops when we needed it the most. Offensively we didn't score as much as I would've liked but we did a good job of not turning the ball over. Loved the crowd tonight for the finish, we need that atmosphere for every home game."
The Trojans faced eight lead changes and 10 ties, going down by as many as five to earn the win. Anderson held the lead for 30 minutes of the contest, with their largest lead coming through the last quarter when they went on a 17-7 run after being tied at 50 with four minutes to play.
The Trojans shot 31.8 percent from the field and 84.6 percent from the line, with a season-high 22 made free throws. They won the boards 50-46, with a season-high 37 defensive rebounds.

Ashley Hill (Covington, Ga.) with a big-time double-double of 15 points and a career-high 12 rebounds. She shot 6-16 from the field and added a career-high five steals with two assists.
Sophomore
Jaida Brooks (Phoenix, Ariz.) came off the bench for 12 points and four rebounds.
Graduate student
Ciara Harris (Alexandria, Va.) added 11 points going 6-6 at the line and eight rebounds.
