ANDERSON S.C. – Entering his fourth season leading the Trojans, head coach
Jimmie Williams and the Anderson University basketball team have announced their 2025-26 schedule as they look to improve upon their previous season.
"Our schedule was built to challenge us and to prepare us for conference play," said head coach
Jimmie Williams. "We want to put ourselves in a position to earn an at-large bid into the NCAA tournament. Many of the games we've scheduled are against programs that are regularly in the tournament. We love our team and believe they are built for a challenge."
The Black and Gold will open the season hosting a Conference Crossover in the Abney Athletic Center in which they will host teams from the SAC and Conference Carolinas. Anderson themselves will take on Erskine in the season-opening matchup on Nov. 14 before taking on Emmanuel on Nov. 15. Erskine met with the Trojans in Franklin Springs, GA last year, but Anderson will meet with Emmanuel for the first time in program history.
Anderson hits the road for the next two games as they travel to non-conference Eckerd College on Nov. 18 before making the trip to the University of Tampa on Nov. 20. The Trojans return home to host Bob Jones University on Nov. 24 before opening conference play at Emory & Henry on Nov. 29.
"We can't wait to host our conference challenge in Abney to kick the season off November 14
th and 15
th. After that we head down to Florida to play two really good opponents. Six of our guys are from Florida so it will be special for them to play in front of their friends and family."
The Trojans begin December hosting Mars Hill on the 6th in the first SAC matchup at home before a two-game road visit to Carson-Newman (Dec. 13) and Newberry (Dec. 17). Anderson enters the holiday break hosting Lincoln Memorial for the last conference matchup of 2025. Just before the new year, the Black and Gold will make the short trip to Morrow, G.A. as Clayton State hosts the Trojans for their final non-conference matchup of the season.
The Black and Gold bring in the new year at home hosting Wingate (Jan. 3), Coker (Jan. 7), Tusculum (Jan. 10) and Catawba (Jan. 14). The Trojans then hit the road for the next week as they make the trip to Wise, VA to take on the Cavaliers of UVA Wise (Jan. 17) before heading to Lenior-Rhyne for a mid-week visit with the Bears (Jan. 21). Anderson hosts Emory & Henry on Jan 24 before heading back on the road to close January at Wingate (Jan 28) and Mars Hill (Jan 31).
The final month of regular-season play begins with the Trojans hosting Newberry (Feb. 14) and Carson-Newman (Feb. 7) before another three-game road trip to Coker (Feb. 11), Lincoln Memorial (Feb. 14) and Catawba (Feb. 18). Anderson wraps up the regular season at home with visiting teams UVA Wise on Feb. 21 and Lenoir-Rhyne on Feb 25 before traveling to Tusculum on Feb. 28 as they battle for seeding in the SAC Tournament.
"We have a good group of returners and newcomers that have all been working hard. This is the deepest team we've had and I'm blessed to get to coach them every day. It's a great day to be a Trojan!"
The tournament heads to a neutral site for the duration of the season as Rock Hill Sports & Events Center will host both the men's and women's championships March 4-7.
