ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson women's cross country team came in 17
th at the Lucian Rosa Invitational in Kenosha, Wis. Saturday morning among strong Division II competition. All results from the 6k race can be found

"The women ran extremely well against some top competition." said head coach Kevin Eagle. "Kennedy proved that she can run with the best runners in the country on the national course. The rest of the women's team moved up well throughout the race and ended up with huge individual performances. We are getting fitter and healthier as the season progresses, so hopefully this is a sign of good things to come."
Sophomore
Kennedy Roush (Greer, S.C) led the way for the Trojans with a 21:45.74 6k, placing 15
th out of 207 athletes. Senior
Emma Whitaker (Inman, S.C.) finished 42
nd with a 9-seccond 6k PR. A 7-second personal record (22:56.48) by sophomore
Hope Edmunds (Sandy, Utah) tabbed for 63
rd. Senior
Sarah Rudolph (Winter Springs, Fla.) earned a top-100 finish, placing 70
th with a time of 24:59.27.
Rounding out the scoring for the Trojans were freshman
Emory Dargan (Columbia, S.C.) (177
th – 24:43.21) followed by freshman
Sophie Wright (Chattanooga, Tenn.) finishing 178
th with a big 9.9 second 6k PR (25:04.76). Following closely behind was freshman
Emma Evans (Boiling Springs, S.C.), finishing 180
th (25:28.31) for the Trojans.
The Trojans are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 11 at the UAH Charger Invitational in Huntsville, Ala. for the last regular season meet before the SAC Championships.
