ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson women's tennis (17-5, 6-4 SAC) shut out SAC foe Emory & Henry (3-12, 2-9 SAC) 4-0 on Saturday morning at the Trojan Tennis Complex. The Trojans made Senior Day a success, earning their 3rd straight win over the Wasps.
"It was a good senior day for our teams," AU Head Coach Joey Eskridge said after the win. "Our seniors showed up, played great, and we had a good time." We're thankful for God allowing us to play at our best and stay healthy through the process. Go Trojans!"
AU made quick work of Emory & Henry in doubles. Gigi Sompayrac and Grace Weaver notched a 6-0 victory, before Valentina Borda and Alexandria Braithwaite did the same on court 2. Mara Opre and Elena Ronconi led 5-3 when the Trojans had clinched their 9th consecutive doubles point.
Singles brought more of the same success for the Black and Gold. Braithwaite, Ronconi, and Ensley Collins posted identical 6-0, 6-1 scorelines on their way to wins. When the match was clinched, the Trojans led on the other three courts as well, thanks to Borda, Sompayrac, and senior Ariana Daduica.

AU stays at home to take on No. 6 Catawba on Tuesday, April 8 at 11:00 a.m. Last season, the Indians defeated the Trojans 6-1 in Salisbury, N.C.
