Valentina Borda and junior
Alexandria Braithwaite earn post season South Atlantic Conference honors, release by the SAC office on Tuesday afternoon.
Borda earned SAC First Team (singles) playing in the No. 4 slot for the Black and Gold. The native of Lima, Peru posted an overall record of 14-2-5 (unfinished) and a SAC record of 6-1-5 (unfinished).
Braithwaite who played the majority of her matches in the fourth flight, earned SAC Second Team (singles) after posting an overall record of 16-2-2 (unfinished) and 10-0-2 (unfinished) in SAC action.
Borda and Braithwaite were also recognized for their stellar play in doubles action, earning SAC Second Team. The dynamic duo posted an overall record of 11-2-4 (unfinished) and 8-1-3 (unfinished) in conference play.
The Trojans finished as the seventh-seed in regular season SAC play and will face off with the No. 2 Wingate Bulldogs in the quarterfinal round of the SAC Tournament in Sumter, S.C. First-serve is scheduled for 9am.
