Sheridan Earns CSC Academic All-District

ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson University women's basketball junior Ashlyn Sheridan has been named to the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team, released Tuesday afternoon.

The teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

To be eligible for Academic All-America consideration, a student-athlete must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director.

Sheridan played in 34 games making 33 starts while averaging 30.1 minutes per game. The native of Knoxville, Tenn., contributed 7.8 points per game and 4.3 rebounds per game. Sheridan's play helped lead the Trojans to a 24-10 overall record, a South Atlantic Conference Tournament Title (All-Tournament Selection) and a trip to the NCAA Tournament.

In the classroom, the 5-11 forward carries a 3.86 GPA, majoring in Christian Studies and minoring in Psychology. Sheridan has made the Dean's List each semester as a Trojan.
