NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the Men and Women's Cross Country All-Academic awards for the 2024 NCAA Division II season last year, honoring both Anderson's men and women's programs, along with 11 Trojan student-athletes.
This year makes the ninth-straight that the Trojans have received the award, which acknowledges teams who have a combined cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale as well as contributed a team score at their respective regional championship meet. With the women's squad boasting a 3.61 GPA and 5th-place Southeast Regional finish and the men's team turning in a 3.57 GPA for the semester and a 3rd-place finish at Regionals, the Trojans continue to reach high standards in the classroom and on the course. Anderson's teams have been named USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams every year with Director of Cross Country/Track & Field Kevin Eagle at the helm.
Along with team distinction, individual athletes receive honors for earning at least a 3.25 GPA on a 4.0 scale combined with finishing in the top-30 percent of competitors at their respective regional championship meet. This year, six women and five men repping the Black and Gold earned the distinction:
