Anderson Football Releases 2025 Schedule

COMPLETE 2025 SCHEDULE

ANDERSON, S.C. –
Head Coach Bobby Lamb and the Anderson University football team have announced their 2025 campaign as they look towards their second ever season of competition. With the disbanding of divisions within the South Atlantic Conference this coming year, the Trojans schedule features just one non-conference opponent and a stacked schedule of all 10 other football-sponsoring schools in the league.

The Trojans open their 2025 season on August 30 with a short trip to Rome, Ga. to take on the Hawks of Shorter, one of the newest members of Conference Carolinas, restarting football as a conference in the year 2025. Shorter went 3-7 in the ultra-competitive Gulf South Conference last season. Anderson then heads right into conference play as they face their next two opponents in the friendly confines of Melvin and Dollie Younts Stadium.

On September 6th the Black and Gold will play host to Wingate, who finished as the SAC champion last year and atop the Piedmont Division, before turning around to play Tusculum on the 13th.  The Pioneers turned in a 1-9 record overall last season with their lone win coming in a two-point contest with the Trojans.

Anderson then hits the road for their next two matchups, with meetings with Mars Hill (9/20) and Emory & Henry (9/27) on the slate. Emory & Henry and Mars Hill finished second and third in the mountain division last year, with records of 9-2 and 5-4 overall, respectively.  The Trojans then bounce back-and-forth between home and away contests for the rest of the season, starting with a home contest against UVA Wise, who the Trojans bested last season for their first ever conference win.

The Trojans will make a return trip to Lenoir-Rhyne on October 11 where they were almost able to upset the Bears in the final game of the season last year, falling by a 27-24 margin on a last-second field goal. Carson-Newman and Limestone set up the next two weekends for the Black and Gold with the Eagles to make their first trip to Anderson while the Trojans prepare the next weekend for their first trip to Gaffney.

Newberry (11/1) comes to town for their first ever match-up against the Trojans before Anderson rounds out its regular season schedule with a matchup with Catawba on the road.
