ROCK HILL, S.C. – The South Atlantic Conference has named six Trojans to the 2025 Volleyball All-Conference Teams, highlighted by Mikaylah Hedlund (Fountain Inn, S.C.) being named Freshman of the Year and to the All-Freshman team.
Junior setter Ellie Nieporte (Boca Raton, Fla.) earned First Team All-Conference honors for the first time in her career after being named to the Second Team last season.
Junior middle blocker Emily Campbell (Statesville, N.C.), sophomore right side hitter Mia Elder (Leland, N.C.) and junior outside hitter Ava Reeves (Lexington, S.C.) all earned Second Team All-Conference honors.
Sophomore middle blocker Maura Kindel (Easley, S.C.) earned Third Team All-Conference honors in her first season back from injury.
Freshman libero Jamie Juhnevicz (Taylors, S.C.) was named to the All-Freshman team alongside Hedlund.
Hedlund had an outstanding freshman campaign, putting up a total of 217 kills, good for 2.36 kills per set. With five double-doubles, she added 179 digs, the third-most on the team, with 19 service aces and 28 blocks.
Nieporte ran the Trojan offense to their successful season, playing all but two sets all season and dishing out 936 assists, good for 9.85 assists per set, the third-best average in the conference. She averaged a conference-best 11.07 assists per set in SAC play. She added 231 digs, 22 blocks and 20 service aces. She also hit the milestone of 2,000 career assists this season.
Campbell had the third-most blocks in the conference this season with 88 total and a conference-best 33 solo blocks. She added 240 kills, good for 2.50 kills per set. Her .313 hitting percentage was the best on the team and the sixth-highest in the SAC.
Elder earned her first career All-Conference honors for her productive offensive season, with a team-high 282 kills and 3.24 kills per set, the fifth-best average and total in the SAC. Her .303 clip is the seventh-highest in the conference, and her conference hitting percentage of .342 is the fifth-highest. She added 52 total blocks and 84 digs.
Reeves had the seventh-most kills in the SAC with 270, good for 3.03 kills per set. She had the second-highest kills per set average in conference play with 3.46. She added 85 digs and 22 blocks.
Kindel was big at the net for the Trojans in her first season back from injury. She came up with 62 total blocks, the second-highest on the team along with 138 kills on a .272 clip.
Juhnevicz earned SAC Defensive Player of the Week twice this season before landing a spot on the All-Freshman team. The libero came up with 413 digs, the sixth-most in the SAC. She had 4.26 digs per set to lead the Trojan defense.
The Trojans' season continues tomorrow, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. when they take on No. 3 Lenoir-Rhyne in the SAC Semifinals at the Rock Hill Sports & Events Center in Rock Hill, S.C.
