Men's Lacrosse Set to Host Limestone for SAC Quarterfinal Tuesday

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University men's lacrosse team is getting set to host their first ever South Atlantic Conference quarterfinal at home on Tuesday (Apr. 25) when they welcome the No.13 Limestone Saints to Spero Financial Field.

Limestone enters the match with an 11-4 record, while winning seven of their last eight games since falling to Anderson in overtime (15-14) on March 11th. The only loss the Saints suffered since then was also in overtime to No.7 Lenoir-Rhyne (18-17) on April 15th, both games being on the road.

Zachary Terry ended the regular season as the leading goal scorer in the SAC with 65 goals, while adding in nine assists. Carter Brand and Nate Senez are each tied for fourth in the conference with 29 assists, with Mike McGarry sitting in ninth with 22. Goalkeeper Cory Lyons is fourth with 156 saves, with his game high being 17 against both Florida Southern and Newberry. In March's contest at Anderson, Lyons totaled 16 saves.

For the Trojans, after a four-game losing streak from late March to early April, the team has been able to right the ship with back-to-back wins against Mars Hill and Lincoln Memorial. Freshmen Radyn Badraun and Matthew Rodgers lead the Trojans in scoring, with Badraun's 51 goals being third best in the SAC and Rodgers' 45 fifth best. Logan Gaddis is second in the conference with 37 assists, while defender Peyton Jefferson ranks fourth in caused turnovers with 35. Goalkeeper Hunter Klosterman is top-five in saves with 153 and save percentage (55%).

Opening faceoff is set for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday (Apr. 25) at Spero Financial Field, with video and live stats available at autrojans.com.
