Men's Lacrosse Set to Host No.7 Lenoir-Rhyne

ANDERSON, S.C. – The No.18 Anderson University men's lacrosse team is returning to Spero Financial Field on Wednesday (Apr. 11) as they get set to host No.7 Lenoir-Rhyne.

The Trojans enter the week on a three-game losing streak, most recently coming off a 14-9 loss on the road to No.5 Wingate. Anderson went 0-3 on the road trip with losses to No.18 Newberry (17-12) and North Greenville (10-5).

Peyton Jefferson and Logan Gaddis were two standout performers for the Trojans in the loss at Wingate. Jefferson caused five turnovers with seven ground balls, while Gaddis led the team in scoring with three goals.

The Bears hold a 10-2 record on the season, winning their last two matches versus Tusculum (21-4) and Lincoln Memorial (19-6). Lenoir-Rhyne's two losses have come against ranked opponents: No.8 Wingate (16-10) and No.1 Tampa (13-9).

Nate Ashley, a junior defender from Bradenton, Fla., caused four turnovers against Tusculum in a dominating 21-4 win, one shy of the single game record for most caused turnovers in a game in Lenoir-Rhyne history. Terry held the Pioneers to just four goals and 19 total shots.
