ANDERSON, S.C. – The No.14 Anderson University men's lacrosse team is preparing for a big South Atlantic Conference match-up against the No.13 nationally ranked Limestone University Saints, on Saturday (Mar. 11) at Spero Financial Field.
Anderson enters Saturday with a 6-1 record, coming off a second-half comeback 13-10 victory over the Coker Cobras. The play of Brayden Bushnoe in the faceoff was the story of the match, as he won 16 of his 23 attempts with 12 ground balls, while going 13 for 15 in the second half. Matthew Rodgers led the offense with four goals, and Peyton Jefferson led the defense with four caused turnovers.
Limestone comes into Saturday with a 4-2 start to the season, most recently losing a hard-fought 19-14 away match to No.9 Wingate. The Saints have played three common opponents as the Trojans: 16-10 win vs. Embry-Riddle, 13-11 loss to Rollins, and a 20-15 win at Florida Southern. Zachary Terry will be a player to watch, as he is second in the SAC with 25 goals behind 31 from Matthew Rodgers.
