Trojans Use Nine Extra Base Hits to Sweep Emmanuel

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

Anderson, S.C. - Anderson University Softball used nine extra base hits, including five home runs to sweep nonconference opponent Emmanuel, 7-6 and 7-4 on Wednesday afternoon at the AU Softball Complex. The Trojans improve to 17-3 overall while the Lions fall to 5-13 overall.

"It is of course always nice to get two wins, but we are still not hitting on all cylinders," said head coach Tommy Hewitt.

"Clutch off the bench hitting by Hope Gullatt today in game one," said Hewitt. "But overall we are not playing anywhere near our potential."

"We have maturing to sort out," added Hewitt.
