GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Led by junior Olivia Rish's 39th-place finish, the Anderson women's cross country team finished ninth at Florida's Mountain Dew Invitational, which was hosted by the Gators on the UF Golf Course, Saturday morning.
Rish, a native of Pelzer, S.C., covered the 5k course in a time of 19:21.91, with freshman Olivia Growe (19:28.07) just behind in 41st place. Another Trojan freshman, Aubrey Stoddard, claimed 53rd place in a time of 19:39.02. The freshman duo of Brianna Quartararo (19:51.02) and Autumn Bladen (20:00.86) finished 70th and 84th, respectively.
Junior Natalie Ardis finished 106th in a personal-best time of 20:33.27, with freshman Olivia Starnes claiming 112th place in a time of 20:36.83. Senior Emily Olson also posted a career-best time of 21:13.62 and finished 148th, while junior Hannah Beach was 192nd in a time of 22:14.75. Freshman Lydia Johnson (23:36.87) and sophomore Kamryn Osterbind (23:46.18) finished 244th and 250th, respectively.
Following a two-week layoff, Anderson will get back on the course at the Queen City Invitational in Charlotte, N.C.
