HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1
Overton's two-out, two-run double in the bottom of the first gave AU a quick 2-0 lead, but the Flying Fleet countered with a four-run second inning to take the lead.

The Trojans came back quickly to regain a 5-4 lead by scoring three runs in the third inning, with Carpenter providing a two-run double to the gap in left-center. However, Erskine posted two runs in the fourth to reclaim the advantage and added solo runs in the sixth and seventh innings to round out the scoring.

Game 2
The Trojans opened up an early 3-0 lead by scoring once in the first inning and twice in the second frame.

After a scoreless third inning, Erskine got on the scoreboard with two runs in the fourth inning, with the Trojans responding by batting around and scoring three times in the bottom of the fourth to build a 6-2 lead.

The Flying Fleet climbed to within one by scoring three times in the top of the sixth, but AU answered by posting five runs in the bottom of the inning.
