ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson University Women's Soccer (3-1, 1-0 SAC) extends its home win streak to three after posting a clean-sheet victory against nonconference opponent USC Aiken (2-3, 0-0 PBC) Wednesday evening.

With the match still scoreless at the end of the opening half, junior
Zoe Stevenson (Bluffton, S.C.) fired a deep rocket into the upper 90 following an assist from junior
Ashton Douty (Mount Pleasant, S.C.) to secure the game-winning goal. Just minutes into the final half, a shot by sophomore
Lauren Johnson (Hoschton, S.C.) was deflected by the Pacers goalkeeper before senior
Kaitlyn Gregory (Cincinnati, Ohio) recovered the ball, sending it into the back of the net for the Trojans' final goal of the evening.

Aliyah Morgan (Fort Myers, Fla.) notched her first solo shutout of the season after recording 90 minutes in goal and making three saves.
The two teams were evenly matched across the stats sheet, with Anderson holding the edge in saves 3-1. The Trojans took seven shots with three on target, while the Pacers finished with five shots and three on goal.
"We are proud of the clean sheet and taking advantage of our opportunities around the goal." added Jacobs. "The team executed our game plan well and we look forward to taking this mentality on the road for our next conference matchup."
The Black and Gold return to the road on Sunday, Sept. 13 when they travel to Emory & Henry for an afternoon South Atlantic Conference matchup. The contest is slated for 3 p.m.
