ANDERSON, S.C. — Anderson (SC) defeated North Greenville 3-0 on Tuesday. The Trojans outshot NGU 18-7, held an 11-1 advantage in shots on goal, and recorded the shutout.

Michael Zion. "We were able to get a lot of guys involved, which is always great. Proud of this team and ready for the next challenge."
Luis Munoz scored the game-winning goal and added an assist, finishing with three points on two shots. Munoz has now surpassed the 10 points milestone for the season with a total of 11.
Adrian Castillo also scored once and assisted once, totaling three points while putting two of his three shots on goal. Castillo reached 11 total points, surpassing the 10 points milestone.
Jonas Zethofer scored and put all four of his shots on frame.
Asher Risell played all 90 minutes in goal and recorded a shutout.
Munoz put AU in front in the 33rd minute, finishing Castillo's assist for the first half's only goal and a 1-0 score. Earlier, the Black and Gold pressed early with three corners between the 6th and 11th minutes and five saved shots, including two attempts apiece from Zethofer and
Kaiden Smith and one from
Charles Bolduc. NGU answered with two corners midway through the half and had two shots miss the frame, while the Trojans worked through a physical stretch without conceding. After Munoz's goal, AU kept generating chances with three more corners from the 36th to the 38th minute and a shot by Nicolas Ortiz, carrying the 1-0 lead into halftime.
The Trojans added two second-half goals to close out a 3-0 win, with Castillo scoring in the 58th minute and Zethofer adding another in the 72nd. Earlier in the half, AU generated four shots and a corner in the opening 12 minutes, including saves on attempts by Castillo and Zethofer, before Castillo finished in the 57th minute off assists from Munoz and
Jace Hicks. After NGU had a shot and corner in the 72nd minute, the Black and Gold responded moments later when Nicolas Ortiz set up Zethofer to extend the lead to 3-0. The Trailblazers pressed late with three shots and a corner between the 77th and 87th minutes, but the Trojans did not concede and also added late chances from Ortiz and
Raul Perez before the match ended at 3-0.
