ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson volleyball (10-2, 4-0 SAC) welcomed Tusculum University (5-5, 2-4 SAC) to the Abney Athletic Center on Friday night. The Trojans were tested early but swept the Pioneers, 26-24, 25-20, 25-17, to improve to 4-0 in South Atlantic Conference play.
The opening set featured a back-and-forth battle, with Anderson edging Tusculum, 26-24, before taking control in the second set, 25-20. The Trojans closed out the match with a .333 hitting percentage in the third set to complete the conference sweep.
Senior Emily Campbell (Statesville, N.C.) led the Trojans with 12 kills while hitting .579 and added four block assists. Senior Ava Reeves (Lexington, S.C.) recorded 10 kills, while sophomore Mikaylah Hedlund (Fountain Inn, S.C.) added nine kills and six digs.
Senior Ellie Nieporte (Boca Raton, Fla.) recorded a double-double with 29 assists and 10 digs. Sophomore Jamie Juhnevicz (Taylors, S.C.) also added 10 digs. Reeves recorded four service aces, while Hedlund added two.
